Fellow Physicians

Every first of July a couple of select ophthalmologists, usually young surgeons who have just completed their ophthalmology residency program, are invited to extend their education by two additional postdoctoral years in a fellowship program with Retina Specialists of Alabama. Many, if not most of their contemporaries will have gone on to start their practice of ophthalmology either by joining up with an established group or by opening their own ophthalmology office. The talented and motivated ophthalmologists who choose to sub specialize in vitreoretinal surgery will begin their patient care in close partnership with RSA preceptors Dr. Robert Morris and Dr. James Kimble. Under the tutelage of and working side by side with RSA physicians these fellows will be an invaluable asset in the uncompromising quality of patient care for RSA patients. They will refine their the skills and master the knowledge of a retina specialists. Most will be board certified ophthalmologists by the completion of their fellowship and will go forward to offer their experience in many locations all over the US. RSA is honored to be associated with these doctors.
